In order to be considered for an appointment with
Travelers, you must:
- Be a licensed agent/agency in the state where you plan to write business.
- Be able to pass a criminal background check.
If you choose to
continue, you will be prompted to fill out a brief survey to tell us a bit more about your agency. Once you complete the survey, a Travelers representative will review your information and
will be in contact with you regarding next steps.
Please note that we will be asking questions regarding your agency’s premium volume, carriers and targeted markets, so please have this
information available.
Since Travelers requires historical agency performance information to contract with an agency, we typically work with established agencies. If you are starting an
agency or your agency is relatively new, you may wish to contact Travelers agencies in your marketing territory to explore agent opportunities. To find a Travelers agency, please visit the Find an Agent section of our website.
If you are already appointed with Travelers and are looking to add a line of
business, then you should contact your local Travelers Sales Executive directly, as they can assist you with this process.
The questionnaire should take approximately 10 minutes to
complete. If for some reason you start the questionnaire but do not have the ability to complete it in one sitting, your questionnaire will stay on file for 45 days.
